Summary:

Cole Anthony is an athletic, skilled playmaker that could be a lottery pick in the 2020 draft. He is a player that score the basketball in a variety of ways, and he was the MVP of the 2019 McDonald’s All-American game.

This year, Anthony had his ups and downs throughout his freshman season.  In the season opener, he scored 34 points in a win over Notre Dame as he started off strong, but Anthony also struggled to consistently make shots, or to rack up assists.  He also has been prone to having lapses defensively, though he did play terrific defense in the 2019 McDonald’s All-American game.

Anthony is a very talented player that has looked like a future NBA star in the making when he plays well, but he also can be prone to having shooting slumps, committing turnovers, and to having off-nights in games.

Currently, he projects to go in the mid first round on draft day.  Anthony’s inconsistent freshman season may be concerning, as he didn’t shoot or pass the ball quite as well as expected, but even still, NBA teams may be enamored with his upside and star potential as a prospect for the 2020 draft.
