2018 rankings were finalized on 6/21/2018.

Height: 6-7
Weight: 245
College: Western Kentucky
Classification: Senior
Birthdate: 5/23/1996

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round to Undrafted

Pros:

Active finisher around the basket
Adequate low post scorer
Decent shooter from all over the floor
Good rebounder
Fairly good defensive player
Has good strength
Great motor

Cons:

Must extend his shooting range
Can be reluctant to take jumpers
Bad free throw shooter
Only an average athlete
May be a classic tweener

Summary:

Justin Johnson is a tough, physical combo forward that will make high-motor plays on both ends of the floor to help his team in games.  He helped his team go far in the NIT, and he also helped his team get the championship game win at Portsmouth.

He will need to show teams that he can comfortably play out on the perimeter and fare well against upper-echelon athletes at the next level, but his good performance in this tournament could likely help him land a spot on an NBA team’s summer league roster.
