Summary:
Nico Mannion is a smart, skilled playmaker that can effectively run the team at the point, and he also can make a variety of shots to help his team on offense. He also will get after it on the defensive end, and he is a competitive player that has a relentless motor.
On the downside, he struggled with his jump shot as the season wore on, and he also may have trouble getting his shot off against quicker, more athletic players. There were some games where he really didn’t shoot the ball well, which can be concerning because he also does not possess elite physical tools. Mannion’s occasional shooting woes may be concerning, but his solid basketball IQ and playmaking skills could allow him to thrive at the NBA level.
